Satellite Maneuver Benchmarking

Getting started

Welcome to SMB (Satellite Maneuver Benchmarking). If an operator has invited you, this page walks you through signing in for the first time. It takes about five minutes.

Before you start

Install an authenticator app on your phone — Google Authenticator, Authy, or Microsoft Authenticator (all free). You will need it in step 5 for your security code.

First-time sign-in

  1. 1

    Open SMB

Go to smb-demo.dfnn.cloud and click Sign in.
  2. 2

    Set your password

You were invited without a password. On the sign-in screen, click “Forgot password”, then enter your email address.

This is normal — “Forgot password” is how a new SMB account sets its first password. It is not an error.

  3. 3

    Check your email

Within a minute or two you'll receive a password-reset email (check your spam folder if it doesn't appear). Click the link and choose a password.
  4. 4

Back at smb-demo.dfnn.cloud, click Sign in and enter your email and the password you just set.
  5. 5

    Set up two-factor authentication

A QR code appears. Open your authenticator app, use its scan function, and scan the code. The app shows a 6-digit number — type it in to finish.

If you're offered a choice of method, pick the authenticator app / one-time code option — not “passkey” or “security key”.

  6. 6

    You're in

You'll land on the dashboard. Setup is complete.

Signing in after this

Every later sign-in is just your email, your password, and the current 6-digit code from your authenticator app. The code changes every 30 seconds — that's expected; use whatever it shows.

If something goes wrong

No password-reset email arrivedCheck spam. After a few minutes with nothing, click “Forgot password” again, or contact your operator.
The reset link doesn't work or has expiredReset links are single-use and time-limited — just do “Forgot password” again for a fresh one.
"Your account is not provisioned for SMB"Your invite has expired (invites last 14 days). Ask your operator to send a new one.
You lost your phone or authenticator appContact your operator — they can reset your two-factor setup so you can configure it again.
You picked "passkey" by mistake at MFAStart the sign-in over and choose the authenticator-app option instead.

Still stuck? Contact the operator who invited you.
